My personal hints on wire wrapping...Q.dabble in wire wrapping, and have been told I'm pretty good at it. It just takes some patience and practice. I'm by no means an expert, but I can tell you how I do it, if its any help. (Sooz...if this is post worthy to Bead Notes, feel free ok?) The supplies that I started out with and think that are useful: Softish wire. I have 24 gauge, 22 gauge, and 20 gauge, and for my first experimentations didn't spend a whole lot of money on it. (But I am now looking into better quality wire) For experimental purposes I went to the wiring section of the hardware store and picked up some copper wire, 22 gauge. Cheap, easy to bend, not out a lot of money if I mess up. Also went to the craft department at Wal-Mart and picked up some of their wire too. Again, its cheap, soft, and great for starting out. A.http://jewelrymaking.about.com/library/weekly/aa101800.htm Celtic component using pegs (I did one of these, and didn't use pegs, I sat in front of the monitor wire and pliers in hand and cussed and wrapped until I made it work) I would have put it up for you sooner had not two things occurred...life got really super hectic on me again and I haven't been able to spend as much time posting here as I'd like, and two I missed the original post that you put up (I have a very temperamental server that picks and chooses what it wants me to read) I only caught your request because someone replied and your original message was left as part of the post. My apologies. If you go surfing on my site you will find all sorts of things that I've wrapped...I guess you could say that I have two main areas of jewelry creation, poly clay and wire wrapping...sometimes both at one time! Like I said, I'm not an expert, but feel free to ask me how I did something if you want to know.
