Swarovski Crystal Beads

Q.I want to learn beading (of bracelets, rings, necklaces) but don't know where I can get Swarovski Crystal Beads. I have e-mailed the contact on the Swarovski webpage but so far, no response. :( I also checked out the local craft stores and they don't carry swarovski beads. Does anyone here know where I can get Swarovski beads at a good price. Also, looking for places to buy other beading "equipment"

A.Swarovski beads are rare and expensive right now. There's been such a run on them from people making crystal bracelets, and designers using them in dresses. There are plenty of glass beads that are not Swarovski, made of Austrian or Czech glass, which might be better for your first efforts. When you want to move up to the Swarovskis, try jewelry-supply and beading wholesalers in NY or LA. But they may not sell small quantities. I knew I'd seen some somewhere... www.beadbox.com there's a small selection, but some gorgeous colours. I'm not sure if they're shown on the site but they're in the uk catalogue.
