Bead storage

Q.I have a question for you all. I now use what I think is called a "Bead Hive" It is plastic see thru drawers that go into holders which slide together. They are rectangular shaped. Anyway a couple times when I have vacuumed the dresser where I keep the beads, I have sucked out a drawer with beads. Now I'm not that cheap, but I will not go pawing thru a dust bag to retrieve the beads and drawer. (I have a whole house system, so it would not be too easy anyway) So....I am in the process of trying to find a new system which is reasonable and easy to use. Can anyone give me some ideas. I have been looking on e-bay, there are a couple systems there, just don't know anything about them--if they work well, etc.

A.There are several possibilities which do not involve purchasing a new bead storage system. 1. Quit vacuuming. OK, there are now many horrified readers out there... 2. Don't vacuum the dresser. I take it you don't have any kind of dresser scarf or small, loose items on your dresser if you actually vacuum it. 3. Put the bead hive down in a dresser drawer or some kind of box when you are vacuuming. I use these for beading also. I just put a paper towel on my work surface and dump a few beads on it and stab with my needle. I've been making seed bead and crystal bead jewelry and these work well for me. I bought them at Dollarama in Canada for one dollar each (seven sections per unit) and I have about 20 of them, all full. They are in the department that has shower and bath accessories and are labeled as pill holders. They are far cheaper there than buying them at a craft store. hth...........
