Bridemaid giftQ.Sorry to go over a very 'went over' topic! What are you giving? It seems everytime I think of something someone tells me it's not a good idea or it seems great in my head but not doable when I go for it. ' I wanted to do silver engraved jewelry boxes. -Prob: Too many arguments about what to put on the box. Then I wanted to do a dif perfume for each girl. Chanel#5 (sp?) for my Maid of Honor and some other nice one's for each brd.md. and also have a pretty, silver perfume bottle for them too. -Prob...there aren't any silver perfume bottles that I can find! So..I was thinking maybe a crystal one. What do you think??? I'd like to know what you are getting for your brdmds also. A.Well, I got a silver jewelry box as a BM gift, and the bride asked me what initials I preferred *if* she were to purchase personalized gifts (I wouldn't do it that way, but I wasn't offended by it either). Initials are good if they are married, but that can be a problem if they are not. You could do just their first initial. I do use the jewelry box, but I also have at least 5 other small jewelry boxes (like many women). I don't know how many women use perfune bottles. They sound nice, but would they actually use them? Also, how do you know what kind of perfume they like? I am very particualr about my fragrances (I only like 2), and some people are allergic to certain ones. Unless you know all this information, it will be hard to shop for. Here are a few ideas of nice things that they can use: - a small crystal bud vase - stationary set (paper, envelopes, pen, seals) possibly personalized - I got my BMs small crystal clocks with a brass name plate on them -- they were perfect for a nightstand or bathroom (I got them at Things Remembered) - personalized gifts to fit their tastes (sewing, sports, dog-lover, etc...) Think about a gift that you would like to get and would actually use. Practical gifts are better than those that really have no use but are pretty to look at. I prefer silver or crystal gifts because they are lasting, but I wouldn't get them anything they cannot use. Picture frames are nice too, and you can put a picture of you with them (not necessarily at the wedding) in the frame. Other Questions : discount internet retailers???????found my dress......but it is $1695.00 OVER MY BUDGET. Are these internet discount bridal seller reliable? Is my gown going to be free from defects? Sent on time?I personally cannot believe that anyone would pay $1000 for a dress! Mine was u... Crystal Gem Stone Jewelry StoreI am going to buy a ruby - a good quality one of about a carat -- emerald cut to put in a ring. Any advice as to how to buy the stone at a reasonable price? Baby Phat JewelryI was in Brooklyn last weekend and I was listening to a rap station (97 something) and I heard a Nas song on the radio. Jewelry ManThis year, Santa's generosity to TFBIM has left us scrambling for places to stash all the stuff.
