Q.Pearls or rhinestones? I'm a new Regional Manager with Liz Soto Signatures jewelry, and want to keep a good stock of the most popular styles of wedding/special occasion jewelry for my customers. Will you be wearing pearl earrings on your wedding day or rhinestone/crystal/diamonds? How about necklace and bracelet styles? What about your wedding attendants? Will they choose their own jewelry to wear, will you buy it as a gift for them, or will you choose the style and they will purchase themselves?

A.Neither. I wore earrings that my grandfather brought back from France when he served in WWII. It was a very simple way to include something that represented my past (and something blue, too, thanks to the colors in the design). I wore the same black stone cross that I almost always wear. No bracelets -- long sleeves. If there had been absolutely no jewelry with sentimental meaning to me, I probably would have chosen pearls or a very plain gold chain. Rhinestones would not have been appropriate with my dress, especially at a daytime wedding. I had already given my sister a set of thin silver necklaces as her birthday present, as I knew that's what she wanted to wear with her dress, and I also knew my mother would not buy real silver. My sister-in-law chose her own jewelry and may not have worn anything other than plain gold earrings.
