Q: Jewelry for pierced noses
Q.For those of you who have nostril piercings and don't wear a screw, some questions: --What type of jewelry *do* you wear? --How frequently do you change it? --How the hell do you get it fastened? Or, how do you keep it in without some kind of fastener?
A.I wear an 18 gague stainless steel hoop with a captive bead in mine. It is easy to snap the bead in if you practice on it while you're not wearing it a few times, first. It is really not good to wear sterling silver or gold in body piercings...they will both contain possible irritants (like nickel, which most people have allergies to) that cause reactions and can cause the piercing to never fully heal. I strongly suggest getting something in titanium, surgical steel, niobiom, or (if you're really wealthy) platinum. Otherwise your piercing may never fully heal... Besides, I think earrings can look silly in noses at times, like those hoops with the big hinges. Sometimes they're not so bad if they're the right size and don't obviously look like earrings...sorry, I'm just rambling, now. And I think the little diamond studs are so cute, but I'd be so afraid of losing them...and wearing them with a back is just asking to make it impossible to clean. OK...ignore me if you don't agree...just my .02!! Oh, and you can get body jewelry on ebay for next to nothing!
