Q.Thinking of the hematite thread, I must pose my own problem: I have read that amethyst has soothing qualities, but I seem unable to experience those. For some reason, amethyst does not agree with me. I once had a bracelet that had amethyst chips on it, and it always found a way off my wrist. Even when I safety pinned the clasp out of frustration I still found it on the floor. (It didn't slide over my hand). I once put amethyst beneath my pillow after reading that it might aid in sleep and dreams, but it made me feel nervous and jumpy. Does anyone else have that kind of problem: a crystal or an herb having the opposite effect (psychically or magickally) upon them?
A.I love amber to, I thinks its the most beautiful of stones, its often been called the Mothers tears in this country, Meaning the tears of the Earth for her children, and has long been associated with the protection of women and children. If I wear Amber its colour always changes often quite noticeably, I find that I feel more relaxed, more at peace, I don't have any feel for any other stones, perhaps the fact that Amber is the fossilised resin of Trees is what draws me, I love trees, I live in North Norfolk only twenty miles from the coast of England, and Amber is collected on the beaches in that area. Every time I go to a beach I find a piece of amber from tiny to quite large.
