Diamond Cluster Earring
Q.hese would make an IDEAL valentines day present! They are set in 14k white gold with 14 diamonds(7 in each) in a cluster the shape of a flower. They were recently appraised by Peoples Jewelers in Halifax Shopping Center for $600. We have the certificate for an interested buyers records. A.agree, but when I said $300, I mean $300 if the earrings were in perfect condition (clarity, color and cut). For one thing, diamonds are measured in quarter ct's (ex. 1/4, 1/2, or 1 ct...etc) not 0.1 or 0.2 ct's and especially NOT 0.3 ct's?? Also, for two diamond earrings with a total of 14 diamonds (assuming there is 0.3 ct's), there would be NO CUT since this is a very small amount of diamonds especially spead between 14 stones. The diamonds in the earrings would just be "chips" of diamonds with absolutely no cut or defined shape. Buyer beware! This guy is trying to take advantage of your limited knowledge in jewelry. After all, it is close to Valantines Day. If you want a nice pair of earrings, you can get a NEW 1/2 ct. (0.5ct) pair with 14ct gold for around $400-$500 or maybe even cheaper depending.
