Does anyone know about Fine Silver Jewelry?
Q.I am interested in submitting my slides of polymer/fine silver jewelry to competitions. Does anyone know of current juried shows to whom I can apply?
A.-You need to get a copy of Crafts Report magazine. I think they also have a web site. Every issue has a list of shows-including juried ones. Also, try Ornament magazine. I've seen a couple of other magazines that include lots of shows. Maybe someone can give you that info. -There's always a long list of shows in The Crafts Report magazine, which you can find at Barnes and Noble and other big bookstores. They also have a website; don't know if this info is there. The URL is: http://www.craftsreport.com/ -In addition to the good information of those who've posted so far, be prepare with a bit of money. Those fees add up quickly. Also, someone told me that, since polymer clay is still relatively new, it doesn't hurt to be prepared to do little educating to help overcome a panel's prejudice. Sometimes you can submit a summary card or photograph that quickly explains or captures how you created your work.
