A.i guess a lot of sources of news decided to flake on this one. "The Daily Show", which i eagerly awaited all day monday, has played reruns for the past few days. Sure, we can get three months of comedy out of the fall of democracy last november, but around 5000 people die and we don't taunt the attackers (aside from mary's comment about "cowards", which i wholeheartedly agree with)? sitting here crying with egg on our face, ranting about "i gonna mess you up, punk!" must make someone feel really good about their accomplishment. John Stewart making us laugh at them until we fall out of the chair would convey a slightly different message... "yup, that hurt. still smiling, though, mostly from thoughts of stringing you buggers up".
