Q.This newsgroup is rec.crafts.jewelry, and this crystals/healing discussion is really off subject. Could you folks who want to keep haranguing on this issue please take it to email or to alt.folklore.gemstones where it belongs, and let this group get back to its original intent? This is just the sort of endless discussion that has effectively killed many other newsgroups, and I'd hate to see the same thing happen here. Rec.crafts.jewelry has always been a very useful and friendly forum, but if it drifts away, a lot of folks will be jumping ship quickly.
A.I came here looking for sources for silver and useful tool suppliers. This crystal thing was going on before I got here, and I feel there is something related to this newsgroup. It is a little more involved that a good source for findings, but working to understand what additional properties a particular stone or crystal may have is certainly open to discussion, and may be of interest to more than one person. Just because the answer isn't apparent or able to be looked up doesn't mean there isn't one, or that the question is inappropriate for this newsgroup. --
