Netherlands and diamond jewelry??
Q.I have heard that if you want value for money that Netherlands is the place to go if you are seeking a bargain when it comes to diamond jewelry ?? Can anybody verify this and how and where do you go about this ?
A.Last year I bought my partner a diamond and saphire necklace. This was significantly cheaper that the UK equivilant & the stones are much better in colour. I know about such things, but the result is much prettier to the one than I have seen elsewhere (& to me that's what counts). I used Coster Diamonds, I have also been with a freind who bought & bracelet from Amstel Diamonds. The biggest dealer is Gassan! It was actually nothing but a sham. You wait outside the building until the next tour starts, and they just herd you in front of one or two cutters, who are working, and let you take pictures. Then a tour guide says about 3 sentences that there are 4 C's and that diamonds are beautiful and expensive; nothing that you didn't know. Then they guide you into another room, lock the door and start the sales pitch. Those who don't buy the high-end merchandise are led to a room where less expensive diamond are shown. This repeats two more times, until they start showing you the cheapest stones.
