Sapphire Diamond Earring.Q.I'm debating about what to wear, since my fiancee has given me diamond earrings and a necklace, over the past couple years. I like pearls, too, ......but wearing the gifts he gave would certainly please him. Guess I'll have to just go try them both on with the dress, and listen to the answers that show up here. A.I'm wearing diamond earlings my fiancee gave me for Christmas (they are very pretty... gold with dangline pear-shaped diamonds). I may get a new necklace, or may wear an antique "A" charm that was my grandmother's on my father's side (she passed away a few years ago). It depends on how it looks with the dress (haven't found dress yet). My mom has more jewerly than she knows what to do with (most of it is costume, but it is all very nice), and I may borrow something from her.... I know she would love for me to wear her wedding pearls, (it is also my birthstone), but I am not so fond of pearl necklaces. Just a few random thoughts... I'm not fond of rhinestones. They always reminds me of prom and the 80's, particularly when used in excess. I tend to go for more simple, less-flashy jewelery. I wore a pearl necklace and studs on my wedding day. Since wedding gown styles seem to be leaning towards simple and elegant, I think it's easier for a bride to "get away" with wearing more elaborate jewelery. my dress has a band type collar, so no necklace. my bridesmaid's dresses are similar. i do plan to buy them some dangle type pearl earrings, and for me since our colors are cobalt blue and silver i am going to get dome dangle type sapphire and diamond earrings so i have alittle of the blue that the bridesmaids will have in their dresses. I bought my sister a pair of pearl earring also, and she also wore her usual gold chain necklace. She didn't wear a watch or rings (her choice0 Other Questions : Talking about Hammered Silver JewelryI'm learning how to make beaded wire jewelry.
