Celtic Jewelry?Q.I missed an original article and just saw a follow-up mentioning a catalog? I'm just starting a search for Celtic jewelry and some tartan material for putting together a Scottish Country dance demonstration outfit. I'd appreciate any leads for mail-order stuff, as Lincoln, Nebraska, is not full of sources! A.My first recommendation would be the Scottish Lion ( PO Box 1700, North Conway, NH 03860, phone 603-356-6383, fax 603-356-9032) they have tartans by the yard in a wide range of patterns, ready-made kilts, and kilts to order as well as the ususal ties, etc. They are the only catalog that I know of that has full color illustrations of various clan tartans (hundreds!). They also have jewelry, shoes, records, etc. Everything your might need. For other vendors, I would get a copy of the 1994 Directory Issue of The Highlander. There are over a hundred vendors, listed by main product lines, in the issue. Contact them at PO Box 397, Barrington, IL 6001, phone 708-382-1035, fax 708-382-0322. A one year subscription to this Scottish interest magazine is $16.50. Other Questions : Looking for RingsI'm looking for a ring/jewelry maker in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area.
