Unique Engagement Ring Design, 5 most unique items in your wardrobe ?Q.Okay, I already know that you guys are gonna have to list more than 5 "most unique items in your wardrobe" but here are some of the parameters. Your list should NOT include jewelry. You should include only items that you actually wear once in a while. Accessories like footwear and purses are, of course, suitable entries. And if you care to take the time, please tell us how you incorporate these items into your wardrobe (what do you wear them with, what occasions, etc.). A.--a white gold filigree (hand-detailed) diamond and sapphire ring from the 1920s which belonged to my maternal grandmother. It is a rectangular shape, divided in to 2 squares, with a diamond in the middle of each square. There are 6 brilliantly blue small sapphires, one in each corner, and two on either side of the center, and they're mounted in a such a way the light comes through and they glow. I loved my grandmother very very much and I treasure this ring as she wore it for every family event. --white gold filigree diamond earrings (hand detailed) from the 1920s which belonged to my paternal grandmother. These are a circle within a square, with the diamonds in the center. Lots of detailing and quite beautiful. I was very close to this grandmother as well, and my grandfather made a point to give me her earrings. --yellow gold sapphire and diamond ring. This is from my parents a few years back. I get a lot of comments on it--the sapphire is an intense blue, and the setting features a very high mount (I have no idea what the proper "jeweler" talk is), so it's very prominent and very color-infuesed. The diamonds on the sides are channel-set in a thin line and the sapphires on the sides are cut in a very interesting angled way. --cut glass earrings from Venice, from a friend. These are gorgeous--a ball at the top with multicolored glass pieces set inside and a clear iridescent glass drop. Much too dressy for every day wear alas. --a pinkish red iridescent hand blown glass bead bracelet from a local glassblower. She only made one. --a cut glass necklace from my maternal grandmother--small beveled glass circles in a silver setting in a kind of lace pattern (the overall shape is a half circle, with the straightish edge to the throat and the curved end to the bottom). Very striking with evening clothes and absolutely on of a kind. I have four pieces of jewelry from my mother that originally belonged to my grandmother. I have a cameo wearing a diamond necklace. She is in a rectangular setting and canbe worn as a pin or pendant. I have two gold nonworking watches on chains. One is shiny with tiny diamonds to outline a moon and star. The other is more detailed like filigree but also gold with a double chain. I have a pendant made from my grandmother's diamond earrings with two diamonds and a small diamond setting on top. I have a ruby and diamond pinky ring in a rose gold setting. The most modern item I own that is unique is a necklace and earrings with seed pearls. The design looks like budding tree branches.
