Victorian wedding .

Q.My wedding is seeming to take on a Victorian theme...although it will still take place in the local courthouse. A friend lent me her absolutely beautiful Victorian looking dress last night...it's white, antique linen looking but it's cotton...not an "actual" wedding dress...and although it is two sizes smaller than what I normally wear, IT FITS! (I LOVE designer sizes!) Since we were originally thinking of getting married in jeans...now I have a whole new set of questions... Since the dress falls at a mid-calf length, what color nylons should I wear? What colors of makeup should I wear so I don't look washed out with the white dress? My hair is a medium shade of auburn, my complexion is light but I may have a little bit of a tan by then. My fiance would be happy if I wore no makeup but that simply will not happen! What color nail polish? Do you know of any websites I could get this info from or that would have pictures of a Victorian themed wedding so I could get more ideas?

A.No web sites that I am aware of but Victorian brides wore orange blossoms in their hair and in their bouquets. Bouquets were large bunches of flowers with cascading ribbons coming from all over. Hard to describe but rather than one large ribbon bow, there were a dozen or more thin ribbons which were attached all over the bouquet. Jewelry could be a cameo brooch pinned at your throat.
